Washington [US], May 10 (ANI): Marvel Studios has set its sights on Ralph Ineson to bring the formidable villain Galactus to life in the highly anticipated reboot of 'Fantastic Four.'
Known for his versatile performances in films such as 'The Witch' and television series like 'Game of Thrones,' Ineson is poised to embody the cosmic antagonist in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe installment, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed.
In the superhero ensemble, Ineson's character, Galactus, will pose a formidable threat to the titular team.
The announcement comes as Marvel gears up for production, which is scheduled to commence in England later this summer, as per The Hollywood Reporter.
The ensemble cast for 'Fantastic Four' boasts an array of talent, including Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing.
Additionally, Julia Garner joins the lineup as a female Silver Surfer, alongside Paul Walter Hauser in an undisclosed role.
Galactus, a character originating from the pages of Marvel comics, is renowned for his insatiable hunger for the life force of planets. With Ineson's portrayal, audiences can expect a formidable and imposing depiction of the iconic antagonist.
Director Matt Shakman leads the charge in bringing 'Fantastic Four' to the silver screen, with Marvel opting for a creative twist by setting the storyline in the 1960s, the era of the super-team's inception.
The screenplay, penned by Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer, promises an exciting narrative that pays homage to the comic book's origins.
Ineson's involvement in the project adds to his impressive resume, which includes roles in various acclaimed productions. With his portrayal of Galactus, the actor is set to leave a lasting impression on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as the franchise continues to expand its roster of iconic characters.
As anticipation mounts for the release of 'Fantastic Four,' fans eagerly await further updates on the film's development, poised to witness the clash between the beloved superhero team and their formidable adversary, Galactus, portrayed by Ralph Ineson. (ANI)
