'Kong: Skull Island' artwork teases 'Trippy' deleted scene

New Delhi [India], Sept. 26 (ANI): Jordan Vogt-Roberts has revealed concept art for a sequence in 'Kong: Skull Island' which would surely have been the most psychedelic ape-related moment since 1968 cult classic, 'Head'.

The writer tweeted the concept art and revealed that 'Skull Island' nearly featured a "trippy LSD dream sequence".

He tweeted, "Since it was 'Nam and the 70s I really wanted to do an LSD dream sequence. Things were going to get trippy. Never was able to shoot it though."

Vogt-Roberts also tweeted out "mood art" for the film's Lake of Fire sequence.

Warner Bros.' MonsterVerse entry thundered its way to USD 168 million at the domestic box office after getting a jump on the summer competition by bowing in early March.

'Kong: Skull Island' stars Brie Larson, Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L. Jackson as members of an expedition to an uncharted South Pacific island, who quickly learn that the mysterious land-mass is populated by a collection of gigantic prehistoric monsters that include the massive 100-foot tall ape (King) Kong.
