Washington DC, [USA] July 21 (ANI): Hollywood star Jennifer Connelly is in talks to join upcoming sequel of 'Top Gun'.
According to Hollywood Reporter, if talks come through, she will be seen playing the lead role of a single mother who runs a bar near a Navy base.
Connelly is well known for her Oscar-winning film 'A Beautiful Mind'. She recently appeared in 'Only the Brave' and will also be seen in upcoming 'Alita: Battle Angel'
On a related note, Tom Cruise will portray the role of Maverick from his 1986 film 'Top Gun', while Miles Teller will play the role of the son of Maverick's friend (Goose) who dies in the first film.
The movie is slated to start shooting in September at San Diego. (ANI)
