Fans support as Jimmy Kimmel fires back at Pres Trump

New Delhi [India], Mar 07 (ANI): Fans have been patting the back of Jimmy Kimmel for standing up to the US President Donald Trump for called Oscars "lowest-rated Oscars in the history".

A fan wrote, "President Trump is an expert on low ratings".

Another tweeted, "You tell him Jimmy!"

"He makes it almost too easy! ??????", tweeted another.

The 50-year-old TV host clapped back at President Trump for the latter's tweet, degrading the 90th Annual Academy Awards, which was hosted by Kimmel himself.

In his hit-back tweet, Kimmel wrote, "Thanks, lowest rated President in HISTORY."

The hit-back came after Trump took a swipe at the Oscars and tweeted, "Lowest rated Oscars in HISTORY. Problem is, we don't have Stars anymore - except your President (just kidding, of course)!"

The Oscar ceremony, which was held on Sunday, March 4, saw Kimmel cracking a joke about Trump.

"None other than President Trump called 'Get Out' the best three-fourth of a movie he had seen this year," Kimmel had quipped at the gala, where several celebrities took a stand for immigrants and 'Dreamers' amid the ongoing immigration debate over a programme that protects hundreds of thousands of young immigrants from deportation.

According to The Entertainment Weekly, the telecast of the show for American audiences attracted the fewest viewers since the time such records are being maintained. (ANI)
