Confirmed! 'Deadwood' film gets HBO approval

Washington D.C. [U.S.A.], July 26 (ANI): The American Western TV series, Deadwood, is all set to return after 12 long years, this time, to the silver screen.

Washington D.C. [U.S.A.], July 26 (ANI): The American Western TV series, Deadwood, is all set to return after 12 long years, this time, to the silver screen.
The movie was announced by HBO Chief Casey Bloys, who said that the production of the movie will begin in October this year, with a premiere scheduled in spring 2019, confirmed The Hollywood Reporter.
David Milch, the creator of the original TV series, will be writing the movie.
'Deadwood' aired for three seasons and garnered eight Emmy Awards and a huge fan base.
Starring actors like Ian McShane, Timothy Olyphant, Molly Parker, Kim Dickens, John Hawkes, Robin Weigert, W. Earl Brown, Dayton Callie, Paula Malcomson and Jim Beaver, the series showcased a lawless camp which slowly emerged into a town, before merging with the United States of America. (ANI)
