Washington D.C. [USA], Jan 27 (ANI): Hollywood actor Chris Pratt and author Katherine Schwarzenegger enjoyed a sweet date night recently.
The couple, who got engaged earlier this month, was spotted out in Santa Monica together, holding hands as they headed for dinner, reported People.
The 29-year-old author wore a black singlet top with matching black jeans coupled with a brown sherpa jacket. She accessorised her outfit with a black purse and black furry flats. Pratt rocked the casual look with a blue sweater, navy pants which he paired with blue sneakers and a silver chain around his neck.
The 39-year-old actor spent Friday interacting with the press for his upcoming film 'Lego Movie 2: The Second Part', which will hit theatres on February 8. While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Pratt opened up about his future goals.
"The future? Oh. Lots of kids,” said Pratt. The actor shares 6-year-old son Jack with his ex-wife Anna Faris.
The actor also shared that he wants to work less.
"Maybe less time spent working, more time spent enjoying life. I always want to be that guy that works to live, not lives to work. I think [I want to spend] just a lot of time at the farm and a lot of time catching a lot of fish and seeing lots of sunsets," he told ET.
Following a romance that began over the summer, Pratt announced the happy news of his engagement by sharing a picture with his lady love on Instagram on January 14, captioning the post, "Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go."
Schwarzenegger responded with love by sharing the same photo and writing, "My sweet love. Wouldn’t want to live this life with anyone but you," alongside a red heart emoji and a ring emoji.
The couple was congratulated by a string of their family members and friends in the comment section, including Schwarzenegger’s brother, Patrick, and her mother, Maria Shriver.
Earlier this month, a source told People that Pratt’s son Jack had a big role to play in his father's decision to marry Schwarzenegger, with the couple including Jack into their outings as they got to know each other.
"Instead of mostly enjoying solo, romantic dates, Chris’ son from early on was a very big part of their dating life," shared the insider.
The insider also added that Schwarzenegger enjoyed the time she spent with the father-son duo.
"Katherine never minded that her dates with Chris many times involved a kid activity, like a matinee movie, or going to Disneyland. Katherine is like a big kid and loves doing activities with Jack. She loves that Chris is a dad," said the source.
Pratt proposed to Schwarzenegger just seven months after the two were first spotted together on a picnic in L.A. According to a source cited by E! Online, both of them prefer a summer wedding and are already looking for a suitable date. (ANI)
