Benedict Cumberbatch to feature in World War I drama '1917'

Washington D.C. [USA], Mar 28 (ANI): Benedict Cumberbatch, Colin Firth, Richard Madden, and Mark Strong have been roped in to play pivotal roles in World War I drama '1917'.

Washington D.C. [USA], Mar 28 (ANI): Benedict Cumberbatch, Colin Firth, Richard Madden, and Mark Strong have been roped in to play pivotal roles in World War I drama ‘1917’.
The actor will be joining previously announced stars George MacKay and Dean-Charles Chapman, who will play young British soldiers in the film, Variety reports.  
Andrew Scott, Daniel Mays, Adrian Scarborough, Jamie Parker, Nabhaan Rizwan, and Claire Duburcq have also joined star-studded cast list.
The script of the film is penned by Krysty Wilson-Cairns and production and direction will be helmed by Mendes.
The film will be shot in England and Scotland and is scheduled to release on December 25, 2019.
Benedict Cumberbatch’s past credits include ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, ‘The Current War’ and ‘doctor strange’ and will be next seen in ‘Avengers: End Game’. Colin Firth last featured in ‘Mary Poppins Returns’.
Richard Madden is known for his work in ‘Ibiza: Love Drunk’ and ‘Bastille Day’. Mark Strong was last seen in ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ and will next feature in ‘Shazam!’. (ANI)
