Pippa Middleton, fiance still trying to 'adjust' to royal connection
London [UK], Sept. 20 (ANI): Clearly, for the younger Middleton, there is more to the limelight than just being a sister-in-law to the British royals. The 33-year-old English columnist and author of 'Celebrate: A Year of Festivities for Families and Friends', says she and her fiance, James Matthew, are still trying to adjust to the reality of being connected to the British royal family and all the paparazzi and headlines that entails, reports the Daily Mail. "There's always something cropping up and that has to be managed on my own. It's been a real eye-opener for James. There have been quite a few hurdles to negotiate," she said. Admitting that this had become "the new normal" for the couple, Middleton, who got engaged to former racing driver and millionaire, James Matthews in July this year, assures that they are not letting these unwanted issues affect them. "I try not to be too sensitive about things because it's just a bit of life I have to deal with. But I would be lying if I said it didn't affect me," she says carefully. Being among the few on the royal spotlight, the flipside of her celebrity status has seen her being the target of social media abuse and gossip. "I have had a few years of being in the public eye and I have developed something of a thick skin," she says, continuing, "But managing it all on my own has been quite hard. I have quite a lot thrown at me, such as being followed by people hiding behind cars and jumping out with cameras. It can be unnerving." On the work front, Pippa Middleton's second book, 'Heartfelt' is on its way to publish by the British Heart Foundation on September 29.(ANI)
