Was Jay-Z's $20m gift to Kanye West a business deal?

Washington D.C. [USA], Jul 5 (ANI): The 20 million dollars that Jay-Z mentioned giving Kanye West in one of the songs from his new album '4.44' reportedly wasn't merely a gift. In the lyrical diss, the 47-year-old singer cryptically noted that he gave the sum to West without offering an explanation as for why. According to sources, the whopping expenditure was an advance given by Jay-Z's Roc Nation label to help West cover production and staffing costs for his 'Saint Pablo Tour,' TMZ reported. According to the gossip site, it's actually standard for artists at West's level to get such an advance. In the song 'Kill Jay Z,' he raps, "But you got hurt because you did cool by 'Ye // You gave him 20 million without blinkin' // He gave you 20 minutes on stage, f*** was he thinkin'? // 'F*** wrong with everybody?' is what you sayin' // But if everybody's crazy, you're the one that's insane."
