The Voice UK 2017 to see Tom Jones back on red chairs
London [UK], Sept. 29 (ANI): Welsh singer and former 'The Voice' judge, Tom Jones is invited back by Independent Television to the show for its seventh season next year. Sir Tom Jones is to return as one of the judges on talent show, 'The Voice UK' when it moves to ITV next year, reports the BBC. Following ITV's acquisition of rights to broadcast the programme from 2017, the 'Delilah' singer is now to return to the big red chairs. The pop legend had earlier accused the BBC of "sub-standard behaviour" when it dropped him from the contest after the first four series "with no consultation or conversation of any kind." Of his return to 'The Voice UK,' Jones said, "I had some great times on the show and I can't wait to again discover and help some brand new talent. And of course be back with my pal Will.i.am." The 76-year-old's long time pal on the show, Will.i.am will continue to join him alongside Oscar-winning actress and singer, Jennifer Hudson and rock star, Gavin Rossdale. ITV Network's head of entertainment, Siobhan Greene expressed excitement for the series saying, "All four coaches are global artists in the music industry and are at the top of their game." 'The Voice UK' is a British television singing talent show created by John de Mol and based on the concept, 'The Voice of Holland.' (ANI)
