London [UK], Feb. 15 (ANI): Europe's biggest music night is finally coming back to London! After a long wait of 21 years, the city will host MTV Europe Music Awards, in a star-studded ceremony. London's mayor Sadiq Khan announced that the biggest names in music will be present at the SSE Arena in Wembley for the 24th annual EMAs, reports the Mirror. "After two decades away, the MTV EMAs are returning to electrify the greatest city in the world once again. It promises to be an absolutely incredible evening, featuring some of the globe's top artists and watched by millions," he said. Khan was joined by, MTV presenter Laura Whitmore and musicians Tinie Tempah and RAY BLK to announce the news. He also praised London's exceptional history of music by saying, "London is the natural city to host one of the greatest musical shows on earth - with our exceptional musical history, wealth of creative talent and outstanding venues - we're the entertainment capital of the world. Whether you're a musical superstar, Londoner or visitor to the city - London is Open to entertain you." The last time MTV EMAs was held in London was in 1996, when the ceremony took place at Alexandra Palace. Nominations for the MTV EMAs 2017 are yet to be announced, but we can expect many big names competing for the prize and making a trip to London for the big night. The EMAs will be handed out on November 12, 2017. (ANI)
