Maroon 5 receives Decade award at 2017 Teen Choice awards

Washington D.C. [USA], August 14 (ANI): Pop rock band Maroon 5 received the Decade Award at the 2017 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night. According to E! We look really good for 38. We're not teens, but the fact that teenagers, all of you, can appreciate what we do after all this time. Our first album came out in 2002, before most of you hadn't been born that that point. It's so crazy that we're still doing this." The group eschewed the traditional long speech for the big award, instead joking about how old they are (Levine is 38) and teasing the crowd with a hint that their next album will be their "final" record. After a brief pause, Levine laughed and said, "Just kidding. We are never going to go away!" According to a press release for the awards show, "With five multi-Platinum studio albums, the band has become one of the top touring acts in popular music, as they continue to achieve critical and worldwide success, while broadening their impact on popular music and culture." With five multi-platinum studio albums and more than 20 million albums and 70 million singles sold worldwide, Maroon 5 has become one of the top touring acts in popular music. (ANI)
