Jay Z offers a whopping $40m to acquire rights to Prince's unreleased music

London [UK], Oct. 27 (ANI): Looks like Jay Z is in for more investment to boost his multi-platform company 'Roc Nation' by recently bidding a fortune to acquire the rights to late icon Prince's unreleased music. The 46-year-old rapper is said to have offered around 40 million dollars to the late musician's sister Tyka Nelson and her husband Maurice Phillips in order to get the right to music that was unearthed at Prince's Paisley Park estate after his death in April, reports the Daily Mail. However there was a slight problem surrounding the deal, as Nelson is said to have to get agreement from all of the singer's brother and sisters, as well as the trust managing the 'I Wanna Be Your Lover's estate. The news came days after Prince's long-time associated label 'Warner Brothers Records' announced that a 40-track greatest hits collection titled 'Prince 4Ever' will be released next year. 'Prince 4Ever' will consist largely of the funk maestro's best-known hits from early and mid-career. The album will also feature the unreleased 1982 track 'Moonbeam Levels' and also a 12-page book of photographs. (ANI)
