#Grammys2017: Adele just 'can't mess this up' for George Michael
New Delhi [India], Feb. 13 (ANI): How dear was George Michael to Adele could be seen at the 2017 Grammy Awards when she wanted her performance of 'Fastlove' during the tribute to be perfect. So when it wasn't, she cursed, then started all over on live TV. The singer, who suffered technical difficulties while singing "All I Ask" last year, also didn't want history to repeat. "I know it's live TV. I can't do it again like last year," the singer said as reported by E! Online. "I'm sorry for swearing and I'm sorry for starting again. Can we please start it again? I'm sorry, I can't mess this up for him. I'm sorry. I can't." "I'm sorry for swearing," she added. "I'm really sorry." The second performance was flawless and heartfelt, as images of the late singer, who died on Christmas Day at age 53, played on the screen behind her. She even received a standing ovation from the audience when the act ended. With tears in her eyes, the British singer mouthed "thank you" several times before exiting the stage. Later, when she won the award for song of the year for 'Hello', Adele apologized again. However, Twitter users, including Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, appreciated seeing her owning up to her mistakes and gave her a lot of love: The 'Neerja' star re-tweeted Ellen DeGeneres' post that read, ".@Adele, you get every do over you ever need. Ever. #GRAMMYs" and wrote alongside, "Adele!!!!!!!!!!! Adele!!!!". "#Adele stopped the #Grammys to start over and get it right to show America that getting s**t right is better than letting a mess go forward," tweeted a user. Another posted, "May #Adele at the #Grammys remind us that when you stumble, just shake it off. Keep going. Might even need to start over and that's okay." "From an artist to another artist, woman to another woman. My RESPECT to #Adele for her grace & empowering. #GRAMMYs," tweeted a fan. On a related note, Adele won all five Grammys for which she was nominated, including for her comeback album '25' and her single 'Hello'.(ANI)
