Beyonce eagerly prompts fans to "go out and vote this November"
Washington D.C. [USA], Oct. 29 (ANI): Queen Bey recently took to her social media handle to give a message to her fans to "go out and vote" on November 8 when the United States presidential election of 2016 takes place. The 35-year-old songstress penned a lengthy note on Instagram alongside a video from a concert where she is seen taking a special moment to tell fans to use "our voices to do something great" for the coming generation. "I know this year has been extremely hot for all of us," she began the video, "Sometimes, I know I felt very frustrated. There's been so much negativity, nonsense. It can be easy to feel helpless and want to just block the world out. But doing nothing right now is not an option ya'll." "We are not helpless. The fire is still burning. Please go out and vote this November," she pleaded with the audience attending the concert. "So many people have died and sacrificed so much for us to have our voice. We have to use it. Use our voices to do something great for our children," she added. About a week from now, American voters will select presidential electors, who in turn will vote for a new president and vice president through the Electoral College. The 'Halo' singer captioned the video with the same message writing, "The right to use our voice at the polling stations this Election Day is not a privilege that should be taken lightly. Throughout history, from the women's suffrage movement to the Civil Rights Movement, this is a right that we had to fight to obtain." Referring to Barack Obama, she wrote, "It was our power that put the first Black president into the White House, and it was our influence that changed the course of history." Bey wants every American to exercise the right to vote which is "imperative to our democracy" and make sure "your voice is heard at the polls" on November 8. (ANI)
