Sonakshi Sinha wraps up 'Kalank' shoot

New Delhi [India], Jan 8 (ANI): Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha, who is a part of ace filmmaker Karan Johar's most ambitious project 'Kalank' has finally wrapped up shooting for the film.

New Delhi [India], Jan 8 (ANI): Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha, who is a part of ace filmmaker Karan Johar's most ambitious project 'Kalank' has finally wrapped up shooting for the film.
Sonakshi took to her Instagram account to share the news and also expressed how proud she is to be a part of the film.
"Just the beginning of the year, and the end of a new film! Its a wrap for me on #Kalank... a project i am proud to be a part of! Can't wait for you all to see it #ontopoftheworld," she wrote alongside a picture of hers.

Expressing her excitement about the upcoming film, Sonakshi gushed it is "surreal" just to be a part of the period drama.
The 'Dabangg' star - who featured on the cover of 'Hello' magazine in November, further stated that the entire star cast, which comprises of Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Kunal Kemmu, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sanjay Dutt, will appear in roles they haven't portrayed before.
"Kalank is a period film in which the star cast is stellar. I have a challenging role and the story is incredible! Just to be a part of the film is surreal. Everyone in the film is playing a role you haven't seen them in before so it will be a treat for audiences. I'm very excited about it," she had told the publication.
A month back, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt too wrapped up their respective shoot schedules and celebrated it with a fun pizza party along with the crew of the film.
The 'Kalank' team has been actively treating their fans with pictures and behind-the-scenes photos from the movie sets.
Helmed by Abhishek Varman, the epic period drama is set in the 1940s, around the tough times faced by India and Pakistan. It is produced by Karan Johar and is slated to hit the big screens on April 19, 2019.
Interestingly, the film was actually conceptualised by KJo's father, Yash Johar, nearly 15 years ago. (ANI)
