Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], March 26 (ANI): Playback singer Sonu Nigam has spoken out after reports surfaced that stones and bottles were allegedly hurled at him during his recent performance at Delhi Technological University (DTU).
Taking to his Instagram account on Tuesday, Nigam shared a statement where he clarified what happened and explained that a vape was thrown onto the stage, hitting one of his band member's chest and, after that, a "Pookie hairband".
"Nothing like the hurling of stones or bottles, as mentioned in some media, happened at DTU. There was one vape thrown by someone on stage that hit Subhankar's chest, and that's when I was informed about it," read the statement.
"I paused the show and requested, reminding the collegians that the show would have to be abruptly stopped if something like that happened again. The only thing hurled on stage after that was the Pookie band, which was really Pookie..." it further read.
