Kashmir, Lucky Ali mesmerise each other

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Oct 21 (ANI): Renowned singer Lucky Ali, who enthralled the audience at a concert at Srinagar's Dal Lake, called Kashmir a "peaceful place". Ali added that the Kashmiri culture should be promoted.

While talking to ANI, the 59-year-old said, "My father said this once that whenever dogs bark on street, you do not stop your car and simply drive. I did not see anything negative here. Kashmir is a peaceful place and the people are loving."

"Whatever the circumstances may be, we have to bring change as everything is in our hands as Kashmir is next to paradise," he added.

The singer, who visited the valley after almost 10 years, stated that Kashmir's culture, handicrafts, talent and food should be promoted.

The concert was organised by the Indian Army on the lawns of Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre here as part the Srinagar Youth Festival-2017.

Ali is the second Bollywood singer to perform an open air concert in Kashmir in recent times, after Adnan Sami, who performed in Srinagar on October 7.

Sami's concert was organised to promote tourism in the state.

Governor N N Vohra was the chief guest of the concert. (ANI)
