Jaipur to host IIFA Awards 2025: A "matter of pride" for Rajasthan, says Dy CM Diya Kumari

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], March 7 (ANI): Rajasthan has rolled out the red carpet for the 25th Silver Jubilee edition of the International Indian Film Academy Awards 2025 (IIFA) in Jaipur from March 8 to 9.
Rajasthan's Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari expressed her happiness and called it a 'matter of pride' for the state to become the host of the prestigious IIFA Awards 2025 in India.
While talking to ANI, the Deputy CM of Rajasthan said that hosting the IIFA Awards in Rajasthan is a big opportunity as it provides a global stage to the state.
"It is a matter of pride for us that IIFA awards are being organised in Jaipur. This is the second time that it is being organised in India. It is a big opportunity for Rajasthan as a global stage is being provided to the state. It will be telecast all over the world," said Diya Kumari.
Deputy CM Kumari continued, "We urged all celebrities to visit various places in Rajasthan and talk about the prospects of tourism there. They have made short films, which will be shown on 8-9 March. This will promote film shootings. Rajasthan has everything. We are improvising tourism in the state. A film and tourism policy will also be launched in the state."
The Deputy CM of Rajasthan shared further details of the event, saying that the IIFA awards will kickstart with Rajasthani folk performances to highlight the state's culture.
"On 8-9 March, the event will start with cultural programs. This was our condition that folk performances of our state be given a chance. The world will get to see the culture of Rajasthan," said Deputy CM Diya Kumari.
When asked about the benefits of hosting the prestigious IIFA Awards 2025, Diya Kumari said that it would help attract filmmakers to Rajasthan, which could generate employment opportunities in the state.
"Filmmakers will be attracted to Rajasthan. Many employment opportunities are generated due to the film's shooting. Cab operators get sold out, tourist places become crowded, and our craftsmen get work, so there is a direct and indirect employment generation due to the shooting of the film. Rajasthan has a scope of tourism," said Deputy CM Diya Kumari.
The 25th edition of the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) will be held in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
The festivities will begin on Saturday, March 8, with the Sobha Realty IIFA Digital Awards Co-Presented By NEXA as they make their debut, celebrating the innovative brilliance of OTT and digital entertainment and underscoring IIFA's embrace of the industry's evolving landscape.
The grand finale will be held on Sunday, March 9. It will honour cinematic excellence and celebrate Indian cinema's profound impact on the global stage.
This year, the audience will see Kartik Aaryan as the host of the IIFA Awards.
