From Haseena Parkar to Aapa: Shraddha Kapoor describe her journey!

New Delhi, [India], Sep 19 (ANI): Shraddha Kapoor, who is currently on an all-time career high, believes her journey from Haseena Parkar to Aapa was literally a switch.

Describing further her journey, the ‘Baaghi’ actress in an exclusive chat with ANI said, “When she decides to do certain things which she hasn’t done before. She always helped people in need and maybe sometimes which is a questionable thing, which is still a theory as it’s not proven yet that she had 88 cases against her where she probably used illegal means and ways to get certain things done be it in real estate or anything else and these are all speculations and nothing has been proven yet.  So this journey is of somebody who has been shaped by certain events that happened in her life and it can affect you deeply on an emotional level and it was that for all of us involved in the film.”

In ‘Haseena Parkar’, Shraddha plays the role of dreaded 'aapa' (as Haseena Parkar was called), who became an underworld ‘Mafia Queen’ after she was tried and persecuted because she was Dawood Ibrahim's sister.

Parkar, who had 88 cases registered against her, but was taken to court only once in her life, was rumoured to have single-handedly run her brother's Rs.1000-crore underworld empire in the city.

The film shows Haseena’s journey from a 17-year-old teenager to a 43-year-old. For this, Shraddha underwent drastically different looks by using prosthetics, body suits and heavy make-up.

Siblings Shraddha and Siddhanth Kapoor will be seen playing reel life siblings Haseena Parkar and Dawood Ibrahim respectively in Apoorva Lakhia`s upcoming gangland drama ‘Haseena Parkar.’

It’s for the first time that we will see Shraddha playing a grey character on screen and the film also features Ankur Bhatia, who will essay Haseena's husband Ibrahim Parkar in the film.

Haseena Parkar’ is all set to hit the theatres on September 22. (ANI)
