New Delhi [India], Oct 22 (ANI): Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra starrer 'Badhaai Ho' is doing wonders at the box office. The comedy flick has minted Rs. 45.06 crore on its opening weekend.
Film critic Taran Adarsh took to his official Twitter handle to reveal the extended weekend collection of the film. He stated that the movie has emerged as a big favourite at the ticket windows, while adding that the film was not released in Madhya Pradesh due to a cinema strike in the state.

However, with the weekdays ahead, it remains to be seen whether it will turn out to be a lifetime biz and if the film will be big a hit or not.

The film opened with a box office collection of Rs. 7.27 crore on its first day. It saw a bumper jump on the second day, earning Rs. 11.67 crore. While it minted Rs. 12.60 crore on Saturday and the movie was rock steady on Sunday by earning Rs. 13.50 crore.
It has received positive reviews from the audience and film critics alike.
'Badhaai Ho' is a fun ride with some rib-tickling comedy, it shows the embarrassment faced by a family when Ayushmann's mother, played by Neena Gupta, becomes pregnant at an older age.
'Dangal' fame Sanya Malhotra plays Ayushmann's love interest in the movie, which also features Surekha Sikri, Gajraj Rao, and Sheeba Chaddha. The comedy is helmed by 'Tevar' director, Amit Sharma.
Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer 'Namaste England' also released on the same day as 'Badhaai Ho' but received a low opening weekend at the box office. The film earned approximately Rs. 6 crore over the weekend, according to Box Office India. (ANI)
