Akshay Kumar to Sunny Deol, celebs share special posts on Independence Day

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 15 (ANI): On the occasion of the 78th Independence Day, celebrities including Akshay Kumar, Sunny Deol, Allu Arjun and others took to their social media handles to wish everyone on this day.
Taking to Instagram story, Akshay Kumar shared a flag picture along with a message that read, "Celebrating freedom, pride & progress. May our flag always fly high and our hearts soar with pride. salute to our freedom. Best wishes to all of you on Independence Day. Jai Hind."

Sunny Deol dropped a smiling kid photo with the Indian flag in his hands on this day.

Sharing the image, he wrote, "Happy Independence Day: Love your motherland. Remember those who fought for freedom. Be a good human being, Be a good Indian."
Showing the beauty of our Nation, Jackie Shroff posted a video on his Instagram story to mark this day.

He captioned his post, "Happy Independence Day."
Pushpa Star Allu Arjun also shared an animated flag image to wish his fans on Independence Day.

PM Modi was warmly welcomed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other dignitaries as he arrived for the celebrations at Red Fort. The Prime Minister was seen dressed in a white kurta and blue vest and sporting a traditional multicolour safa.
This year's celebration marks the 11th time PM Modi addressed the nation from the Red Fort on Independence Day, making him the third Prime Minister after Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi to achieve this milestone. The theme for this year's Independence Day is 'Viksit Bharat @ 2047,' aiming to drive the Government's efforts to transform India into a developed nation by 2047. (ANI)
