78th Independence Day: Anupam Kher shares inspiring video to wish everyone

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 15 (ANI): Like every Indian right now, celebrating 78th Independence Day, veteran actor Anupam Kher also joined the celebrations in his own way. He shared an inspiring video message that left fans with goosebumps.

The clip showcased a glimpse of achievements, sacrifices of freedom fights, and struggles the nation has faced to get Independence. It also features achievements of India at the World Cup, Olympics, Miss World and Miss Universe.
Sharing the video, he wrote, "Greetings and best wishes to all of you on Independence Day. For our freedom today, our yesterday is the sacrifice of so many known and so many strangers. It is very important to remember them. Jai Hind. Hail India! #HappyIndependenceDay #Freedom."
India is celebrating the completion of 77 years of independence.
This year's celebration marks the 11th time PM Modi addressed the nation from the Red Fort on Independence Day, making him the third Prime Minister after Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi to achieve this milestone. The theme for this year's Independence Day is 'Viksit Bharat @ 2047,' aiming to drive the government's efforts to transform India into a developed nation by 2047.
PM Modi was warmly welcomed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other dignitaries as he arrived for the celebrations at Red Fort. The Prime Minister was seen dressed in a white kurta and blue vest and sporting a traditional multicoloured turban.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Anupam Kher has kickstarted the shoot of the highly anticipated movie 'The India House', marking it his 542nd film.
Anupam Kher will play the character of Shyamji Krishna Varma. The film set against the backdrop of India's struggle for independence, The India House is expected to offer a riveting story filled with emotion, sacrifice, and patriotism.
Speaking of The India House, the pan-Indian historical drama will star Nikhil Siddhartha (of Karthikeya 2 fame) in the lead role, with Anupam Kher portraying the prominent character. Directed by Ram Vamsi Krishna, the film is being produced by Abhishek Agarwal and Vikram Reddy under the banner of Abhishek Agarwal arts and V Mega Pictures.
Kher is also gearing up for the film 'Tanvi The Great'. Apart from this, Kher has 'The Signature', 'Emergency', 'Vijay 69', and the Curse of Damyaan' and a few other films in his kitty. (ANI)
