ONGC receives prestigious FIPI Oil and Gas Awards 2017

New Delhi [India], Sept 01 (ANI): Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), has been conferred with two awards under prestigious categories of 'Exploration and Production - Company of the year' and 'Environmental Sustainability - Company of the year' by Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI).

New Delhi [India], Sept 01 (ANI): Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), has been conferred with two awards under prestigious categories of 'Exploration and Production - Company of the year' and 'Environmental Sustainability - Company of the year' by Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI).
The award was presented by Former DG, CSIR and Padma Vibhushan Dr. R.A. Mashelkar to ONGC team led by director (Exploration) A.K. Dwivedi, Director (Finance) Subhash Kumar, in presence of CMD Shashi Shanker.
The awards were presented in presence of Oil Industry thought-leaders representing Whos-Who of corporate India.
Speaking on the occasion, Shashi Shanker, CMD ONGC said, "FIPI is playing a pivotal role in driving the hydrocarbon sector in India by serving as a strong facilitator of continuous dialogue between various stakeholders of upstream, midstream an downstream sector including technology providers, service providers, academic entities and relevant Government and regulatory agencies for protecting and promoting interests of the industry".
Mashelkar gave the keynote address highlighting the need for disruptive innovations and digitisation of petroleum industry.
FIPI, previously known as Petrofed, is an apex society of entities in hydrocarbon sector and acts as an industry interface with government and regulatory authorities.
The FIPI Oil and Gas Awards recognise the leaders, innovators and pioneers in the oil and gas industry, with an objective to celebrate the industry's most outstanding achievements.
The nominations went through multi-stage and rigorous evaluation process by the eminent awards' committee and then it was decided by the jury. The awards' committee was led by Chairman G.C. Chaturvedi, Former Secretary, GOI and selection by an eminent jury panel compromising of Anil Kakodkar, former chairman, Atomic Energy Commission of India and Secretary to the Government of India and R. A. Mashelkar, Chairperson, National Innovation Foundation of India and former Director General, CSIR, and others renowned GoI officials. (ANI)
