Dharmendra Pradhan, C'garh CM inaugurates Odisha's biggest automated oil terminal

Jharsuguda (Odisha) [India], November 29 (ANI): Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh inaugurated a terminal of Indian Oil Corporation on Wednesday.

It was Odisha's biggest automated oil terminal.

If a report is to be believed, the automated terminal was build at a total investment of Rs 140 crore.

The oil terminal has a facility to store 49,000 Kilo litre, with 2,200 KL per day sale of petrol, diesel and kerosene to supply more than 350 sale points within a radius of 550 kilometer round the year supply.

It will help the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) for continuous, automated delivery of fuel supply to 10 district of western Odisha.

The terminal will receive fuel through 1,069 kilometer length Paradip-Raipur-Ranchi Pipeline at an investment of Rs 1,100 crore.

Similarly, the renovation of Oil depot, Jatani at a cost of Rs 70 crore is enabled for catering 13 districts of Odisha i.e. Angul, Boudh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Khordha, Nayagarh, Puri, Phulbani, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Kalahandi.

The total investment in the three projects in Odisha is Rs 1,310 crore. These projects receive product through 1069 km length Paradip-Raipur-Ranchi Pipeline at an investment of Rs 1,100 crore.

"Earlier the petroleum products were used to transport in Chhattisgarh through trucks. Now, Paradip refinery has been connected directly to two terminals Raipur and Korba. Petrol, Kerosene, diesel will now comes through pipes without any interruption and with less money," Pradhan told the media during the event.

Pradhan also said like rail line, road line and air line facility, the facility of petrol, diesel, kerosene and domestic gas will also be included in the priority of the Government of India.

While launching a scathing attack on the Congress, the Petroleum Minister, "In 70 years the development was not done, but Prime Minister Modi led government started the initiative to make toilets in every house for the respect and honor of women." (ANI)
