Shotang to empower thousands of retailers across five cities; to expand in three more

New Delhi [India], Nov 11 (ANI): On-cloud marketplace Shotang which aims to modernize order fulfillment processes in the conventional retail distribution channel for retailers, distributors and manufacturers has announced that it has registered nearly 10,000 retailers on its platform.

New Delhi [India], Nov 11 (ANI): On-cloud marketplace Shotang which aims to modernize order fulfillment processes in the conventional retail distribution channel for retailers, distributors and manufacturers has announced that it has registered nearly 10,000 retailers on its platform. Shotang is rapidly expanding its footprint and has started operations in the three major cities of Chennai, Pune and Delhi over the last one month in addition to Bangalore and Hyderabad where they were already present. The platform currently has a strong supplier base with products of over 120 brands being available through the marketplace. "This is a momentous milestone for us. We are now aggressively looking to expand and tap into newer markets, for which we have increased our team size as well to more than 200. Our new city launches have been received very well. A significant percentage of our retailers order on our platform more than 20 times every month. With our expanding coverage, brands are also partnering with us more strongly than ever," said CEO and Co-Founder Shotang, Anish Basu Roy. "On our platform, retailers have the convenience of multiple modes of payment like Cash or card on delivery, Net banking etc. To further add on to the convenience of doorstep delivery, we have also launched credit facility for our retailers, which enables them to grow their business at a rapid pace," added Roy. The B2B marketplace saw its average order values, which has been growing rapidly, exceeding Rs. 40,000 as a result of the momentum generated. (ANI)
