New Delhi [India], Feb 13 (ANI-NewsVoir): Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and Co. acted as the legal advisor to NXP Semiconductors Netherlands B.V. in the multi-jurisdictional transaction involving divestiture of its standard products business, Nexperia, to a consortium of financial investors consisting of Beijing Jianguang Asset Management Co., Ltd. and Wise Road Capital LTD. The value of the deal is USD 2.75 billion globally (approximately). Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and Co. advised NXP Semiconductors Netherlands B.V. on the India leg of the transaction. The transaction team was led by Akila Agrawal, Partner, and included Mukul Sharma, Megha Bhargava, Principal Associates, Sumi Saikia, Senior Associate, Ananya Kulkarni, Akshay and Ritika Sinha, Associates. The Employment Law team was led by Pooja Ramchandani, Partner; and included Vaibhav Bhardwaj, Senior Associate. The Direct Tax team was led by Amit Singhania, Partner; and included Gouri Puri, Principal Associate. The Indirect Tax team was led by Sandeep Chilana, Partner; and included Ankita Bhasin, Senior Associate. Other advisors to the transaction were De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek N.V. (lead counsel for the transaction on behalf of NXP) and Houthoff Buruma (represented the counterparties). The deal was signed on June 14, 2016 and closed on February 7, 2017. (ANI-NewsVoir)
