Punjab Agri Export Corporation, TrendyBharat signs MOU to promote organic products

New Delhi [India], Mar 27 (ANI): Punjab Agri Export Corporation Ltd. (PAGREXCO) has signed an MOU for an Exclusive Alliance for Ecommerce Enablement of PAGREXCO in association with Trendybharat.com. Under this agreement, Trendybharat.com will market, promote and sell Punjab Agro's organic products across India and overseas. Punjab Agro Industries is a premier organization of Punjab Government for the promotion and facilitation of agro based industries. Through this partnership with TrendyBharat, their products and brand will get an online presence and promotion. The products available on Trendybharat.com in the current phase are varieties of Organic Bastmati Rice, Organic Wheat Flour, Organic Maize Flour, Organic Wheat Dalia and Organic Maize Dalia. They also plan to add more products to their offerings in the near future. "Through this Tie-up we have disseminated the information about our organic farming practices where we're providing institutional support to the farmers of Punjab. We have also tied up with TrendyBharat to promote our organic products on their portal," said K.S. Pannu, IAS and Managing Director at Punjab Agro. "With this partnership, we are now geared towards promoting organic farming products on our e-commerce platform to support Indian farmers. Our association with Punjab Agro also ensures the authenticity of the agricultural products that we'll be selling on TrendyBharat portal," said founder and CEO TrendyBharat, Varinder Singh Jawanda. In addition to this, the farmers will also get on- farm training, guidance and technical support for Bio-input production, organic practices, and organic farm management right from seed to produce as per the organic standards. And to achieve this, awareness camps are being conducted in the target districts for information dissemination and the Registration of farmers is carried out preferably in cluster form to facilitate the communication, operational part and the certification process.
