Parijat launches campaign to educate farmers on enhancing farm productivity

New Delhi [India], February 13 (ANI): As part of its continuous and ongoing efforts to disseminate technical information related to Agricultural practices, providing training to farmers, and for assisting them in improvement of crop yields and safe agricultural productivity, Parijat Industries in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra organised a training programme on the strategies to double farmers income at Fathegarh of Ambala district in Haryana.

New Delhi [India], February 13 (ANI): As part of its continuous and ongoing efforts to disseminate technical information related to agricultural practices, providing training to farmers, and for assisting them in improvement of crop yields and safe agricultural productivity, Parijat Industries in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra organised a training programme on the strategies to double farmers income at Fathegarh of Ambala district in Haryana.
The programme was organised under the guidance of Dr. Naveen Saini, senior scientist KVK and witnessed participation by scores of progressive farmers.
The special focus of the campaign was to create awareness among farmers about various technologies that can be employed for substantially increasing farmers income as well as the role of livestock and organic farming and Integrated agricultural practices.
During the training programme KVK scientist, Saini stressed that farmers can double their farm incomes by harnessing and adopting new technologies recommended by KVKs. He added that KVKs are making strenuous efforts to double farmer’s income by 2022 by providing technical assistance to farmers.
He also informed that if appropriate and timely interventions are made in agriculture and allied sectors, farmer income can be doubled. He elaborated on different technologies to increase crop productions by which income can be enhanced.
The KVK has also informed about pest management, technologies to increase yields and reduce the cost of production etc. During the technical session, the resource person discussed the various management techniques involved in successful livestock production for further economic upliftment.
In this programme, many queries were also raised by the farmers and were answered by the KVK scientist in a satisfactory manner.
During the event representatives from Parijat also trained farmers on the responsible use of crop protection products and the vital importance of usage of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) at the time of spraying. Parijat has also distributed pocket size safety handbook to farmers. Parijat has published special pocket size safety handbooks as a ready reference for the safe use of pesticides by farmers in nine important Indian languages such as Bangla, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, and these are being widely distributed for free to farmers across the country.
In keeping with its deep commitment to the responsible use of crop protection products, Parijat has a continuous and multi-pronged pan India program aimed at farmer awareness and training regarding the safe and correct use of pesticides.
