NH Studioz to release Shraddha, Arjun Kapoor starrer "Half Girlfriend" across 1600 theatre screens

New Delhi [India], Apr 21 (ANI-NewsVoir): NH Studioz, an initiative of Narendra Hirawat and Co. has successfully bagged the distribution rights of upcoming Bollywood movie Half Girlfriend. After distributing a series of blockbuster movies last year, the company is set to deliver some of the biggest movies to its audiences this year as well. NH Studioz recently released Begum Jaan in over 956 screens and will follow up the success with Mohit Suri's upcoming movie Half Girlfriend. As a part of the in-depth understanding of the content and its relevant market, NH Studioz will be releasing Half Girlfriend in 1600 screens across the country. "Movies based on adaptations from books by authors like Chetan Bhagat, appeal to the younger generation as we have seen in the past. We have internally seen the content of Half Girlfriend and are very enthusiastic about the storyline and performance of the actors. We have done meticulous planning in identifying the right markets and age groups which will be interested in Half Girlfriend," said Managing Director NH Studioz, Shreyans Hirawat. "For the success of a film, it is important to take the movie to the right audiences. In our last venture for Begum Jaan, the content was very different and strong. As compared to Half Girlfriend, Begum Jaan needed to be taken to more matured audiences and that is exactly what we did by limiting the number of screens to 956," added Hirawat. Half Girlfriend is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's best-selling novel by the same name. The movie is Directed by Mohit Suri and is an intense love story that sets out to explore the 'grey area' in relationships today. Arjun Kapoor plays the role of Madhav Jha and Shraddha Kapoor plays the role of Riya Somani and the film is set against the backdrop of three distinct worlds of Delhi, Patna and New York. The movie is set to release on 19th May 2017 in India. "Begum Jaan was a very successful venture for us. Even after being an A rated movie and releasing alongside a massive movie like Fast and Furious 8, we were able to pull audiences to the theatres. We are expecting Half Girlfriend to be a much bigger success," added Hirawat. (ANI-NewsVoir)
