New Zealand trade mission to India recognises STAAH for innovation and success
New Delhi [India], Oct.29 (ANI-Businesswire India): John Key, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, has recently completed a trade mission to India, accompanied by his wife Bronagh Key. The purpose of this visit was to promote bilateral trade and investment talks, strengthen political and economic relationships, and seek security and intelligence co-operation between New Zealand and India. Also joining the Prime Minister was a high level delegation which included Members of Parliament and representatives of educational, cultural and business organisations. The three-day mission began on Tuesday 25 October in Mumbai and ended on Thursday 27 October in New Delhi. During the mission the Prime Minister recognised several businessmen from the tourism, technology and innovation sectors for their contribution to bilateral trade between the two countries. This included Gavin Jeddo, Founder and Product Director of STAAH - an Auckland-based privately owned technology company that provides cloud-based channel management and booking engine technology to accommodation operators such as hotels, motels, holiday resorts, vacation rentals, B and Bs and guest houses. Apart from the recognition from NZ Prime Minister himself, STAAH hit a milestone by signing up The Lemon Tree to their platform. Having pioneered channel management technology in the mid-2000s, Gavin established STAAH in 2008. In India, STAAH has partnered with Cleartrip, Goibibo, Travelguru, Hotel Dekho, Make My Trip and many more. STAAH has registered a 20 percent growth on a month-to-month basis since its commencement of operations in India. The bilateral engagement and multilateral co-operation agreement between New Zealand and India will further boost STAAH to grow in India. (ANI-Businesswire India)
