Mia Sheroes summit 2017 flags off in association with Klay prep schools and daycares, Medela and Paytm

In fact, it is ensuring a sustainable work-life balance for women who are unable to be a part of a full-time organization as well as for those relying on self-employment. Besides just work, it is opening up new avenues for support, mentorship and networking. These were some of the major highpoints of the MIA SHEROES Summit 2017 held in association with KlayPrep School and Daycares, Medela and Paytm today. In partnership with CNBC, Inc42, 91Springboard, the mentorpreneurs, Spacewhiz and Styling Partner, FableStreet, the Fifth Edition of the MIA SHEROES Summit at Delhi was themed as #FutureOfWork. The event focused on the core endeavor of SHEROES India's largest platform ecosystem for ambitious and aspirational women influencing more and more women to join either the workforce, micro-entrepreneurship, remote work or leadership roles and enabling them to tap into the #FutureOfWork. "This year we have associated with MIA by Tanishq the popular jewellery collection dedicated to women from every walk of life and it is a matter of pride for us because both SHEROES and MIA are celebrating their potential of balancing work and home with ease and equal enthusiasm," said founder and CEO SHEROES, Sairee Chahal. "This year's event is a reflection of our efforts on expediting more and more women to maximize their potential in determining work opportunities for the future. The Summit emphasized on connecting them with modular opportunities, recognizing their aspirations and helping them in meeting their individual needs," added Chahal. The event started with an appeasing prayer recital by Sukriti Sen, a classical vocalist that lifted the spirits of the audience and filled the atmosphere with a calming aura. One of the early sessions was a panel discussion on women who are #BestatWork, which included front runners from the legal precinct Vinati Kastia, partner at AZB and Partners and Mishi Choudhary, Founder of Software Freedom Law Centertr end setters, Priya Krishnan (Founder, Founding Years Learning Solutions), Emilie Moulard (Managing Director - India, Medela) along with Faisal I. Farooqui, CEO-MouthShut.com "Women today aspire to leave a mark in the world around them and be powerhouses - they want to head the operations of an organization or a career in a dream job, simultaneously also be a mom, wife, daughter. While women have eased themselves into their roles and have proved to be strong managers, it's important to acknowledge that women often have to choose between motherhood and careers. Having onsite day care centers at workplaces can solve this major hurdle that holds women back," said CEO Founding Years Learning Solutions, Priya Krishnan. Another high point of the event was a refreshing poetry session by renowned poet, storyteller, 'Queer, Inquialabi' Sabika Abbas Naqvi underlined the increasingly suffocating times of gender disparity with her powerful words, fierce voice and inspirational soul. The session was trailed by a TED Style talk session on 'Designing the Future' by Cindy Gallop, the Founder of MakeLoveNotPorn followed by a rejuvenating drumming session by Fakhroddin Ghaffari. Furthering the event, Ritu Kapur (Director, Quintillion Media Pvt. Ltd.) delivered an eloquent session on 'I Believe in Me', highlighting the ways of owning successes in various industries. The summit saw a soulful musical track Bolo ek awaaz hai hum (inspired by renowned poet, Faiz Ahmed Faiz) by Sonam Kalra and the Sufi Gospel Project The MIA SHEROES Summit 2017 concluded with an Open House and networking session hosting an opportunity for the audience to mingle and share their experiences. After the New Delhi session, the Summit will travel to Mumbai (15th July), Bengaluru (29th July), Kolkata (5th August) and Chennai (19th August). (ANI)
