Kolkata (West Bengal0 [India], Sept.28 (ANI-Businesswire India): Konstrukt is a unique initiative by SRMB Steel which gives a competitive platform to bring the best of architecture, design and innovation to the limelight. It is the first initiative in eastern India to acknowledge innovation and achievements in the construction and design industry. In last few years with the engineering and construction sector in India hitting a new orbit where new thinking and innovation is rated above the generic features, every civil engineer and architect is silently redefining the industry. SRMB Konstrukt started its journey with Konstrukt 1.0 awards, which was a great success where over 600 civil engineers and architects demonstrated their work, Abin Design Studio emerged as the top winner for the design of the magnificent 'Nazrul Tirtha', Kolkata, a centre for culture and education. Due to great response in 1.0, SRMB Konstrukt 2.0 will be done at a new scale. Over 1500 entries are expected from all over West Bengal, one category which is innovation in construction, is made open for all India is expected to get few hundreds of entry across the nation, for this category. This year SRMB Steel has introduced a section called Conclave, involving few eminent speakers from the world of engineering architecture, theme topic is "Global Aspiration, Local Application." The event will also witness many technical sessions where global trends from the construction industry will be discussed. SRMB Steel, one of the pioneer manufacturers of TMT bars in eastern India, is known to organize many such events for architects and engineers. Konstrukt is something very innovative as a concept. The principle objective of Konstrukt is to provide a platform to both established and budding professionals and students to showcase their recent portfolio to the stalwarts from the industry and to society at large and recognize the talents Identify, celebrate and reward noteworthy achievements that will serve as icons of West Bengal. And most importantly knowledge sharing with the stalwarts of the fraternity of structural engineering and architecture. Eminent engineer Arunendu Banerjee expressed his thoughts on Konstrukt saying, "Konstrukt is trying to get back to the origin of our roots and going into the global platform - with a societal benefit with enriching the economy because it is not only going to create a better tomorrow, it is also going to create a very sustainable future." 15th September, on the eve of 'Engineers' Day', the technical sessions, Konstrukt Conclave journey took off officially with the inauguration of its first conclave at Kolkata, held at Royal Bengal Room, City Centre, Kolkata. Ar. Anjan Gupta, prof. Joydeep Dutta, Er. Arunendu Banerjee and Er. Snehasish Sinha gave their valuable insights on the theme topic. After successful consecutive events at Durgapur, Siliguri and Malda, the Conclave journey will continue with the final event on 29th September at Kharagpur, where the speakers for the day will be architect Anjan Gupta and Engineer Sanjeev Parekh. The main event of SRMB Konstrukt 2.0 will start from 7th Nov'16 and after a four months journey will end in March'17 thereby bringing out the 2nd Design Icon of West Bengal. (ANI-Businesswire India)
