Jashn-3, senior living sports and cultural extravaganza

New Delhi [India], Oct 25 (ANI-NewsVoir): Much awaited and appreciated inter Senior Living sports and cultural festival - Jashn 3, was concluded in Lavasa on 16th of October. With over 950 seniors participating in two day extravaganza held at Ashiana Utsav Senior Living, Lavasa curtains were drawn with team Utsav Lavasa claiming the championship this time. Two time champions Utsav Bhiwadi had to settle down for first runner up trophy and Utsav Jaipur bagged second runner up title. Ashiana's senior living communities in Bhiwadi, Lavasa and Jaipur were soaked in festivities since last two and a half months, with preliminaries and qualifiers being conducted in these locations. Jashn had two new entrants - Nirmay Bhiwadi community andShubham Chennai community, making the overall participation more interesting and challenging! More than 160 seniors participated in these qualifiers from these many teams. More than 50 participants from 5 teams made their entry to final tussle for inter senior living sports and cultural championships held on 15th and 16th of October. While 66 residents travelled all the way from Bhiwadi to Lavasa for participation, 46 residents from Jaipur, 45 residents from Nirmay and 16 residents from Chennai arrived at Lavasa on 14 th of October. Weather gods were smiling at Lavasa with scenic environment welcoming all outstation participants with open arms. Sports events like swimming, walking, badminton, table tennis etc. saw seniors with age range 55-85 participating and competing like age is just a number. Cultural events like Rangoli making, song and dance etc. showcased bubbling talents like never before! "I won a prize first time in my life" said a resident, while another exclaimed "I performed for the first time in front of large crowd."Prof. Rajamma, 85+ young senior from Chennai broke all barriers bagging first prize along with her daughter in duet dance competition! More than 950 seniors were a part of this never before experience for two days, being spectators or participants for more than 53 events spread across 12 different categories. Lavasa residents and staff proved that Lavasa not only known for beautiful natural landscape but also for wonderful hospitality. From the moment of pre planning to welcoming guests and from conduct of events to see off visitors, the entire Lavasa community won hearts of everyone!
