Freshmen's Valley brightens up Diwali for villagers of Bahjoi

Freshmen's Valley brightens up Diwali for villagers of Bahjoi
Bahjoi (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Oct.25 (ANI-Newsvoir): Premium dairy brand Freshmen's Valley has taken yet another step towards fulfilling its commitment towards developing the dairy farming community and creating a sustainable socio-economic ecosystem. The brand organized its first ever income generation event by way of Diwali Diya decoration activity which involved skill development and income generation for 25 youth in Bahjoi region. Freshmen's Valley team along with youth of Bahjoi during the Diya decoration activity During this festive season, the brand engaged and trained the students of IT centre at Bahjoi. The students were taught to create Diwali decorations. All the raw materials used in the entire activity were arranged and given to the students by the company at free of cost. The students were given a platform to show their creativity and skill in producing beautifully decorated Diyas. The students across Bahjoi village participated in this 10 long activity which culminated on October 24, 2016. Over 5000 Diya'swere decorated and sales proceeds given to the youth for their efforts and hard work. Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Shalini Choudhary, Director, Freshmen's Valley said, "We, at Freshmen's Valley believes in Corporate Social Responsibility as an integral part of our company and we are committed to give back to the local community. The company is aggressive towards creating a sustainable and better socio-economic ecosystem for the dairy farming community and their families. I feel that by empowering the youth, we will create a stronger and better environment for each family." Ms. Tanya Joshi - Team Leader, CSR Initiatives at Freshmen's Valley added, "Through our CSR activities, we always strive for the betterment of the village and villagers across our local communities. Our endeavor is to work for the advancementof the dairy farming community which is aimedat making these farmers and their families economically strong and enhancing their livelihoods.The Diya making activity witnessed active participation from the youths in the village and got tremendous response. This is just a humble beginning to many such activities planned for the future, which we will initiate to helpin skill development and income generation for the villagers." The company has been committed to its CSR projects and in the month of April 2016, Freshmen's Valley launched the IT skill development center at Bahjoi with the aim to provide IT education and employment opportunities for the students. The CSR projects initiated by the company is coined as Kaushal Vikas Abhiyan. Corporate Social Responsibility at Freshmen's Valley is not merely a compliance, but it is a commitment to undertake initiatives that are designed for the benefit of customers and the dairy farming community.
