New Delhi [India], October 4 (ANI): The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution has announced its association with the Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF) for the upcoming Bharat International Rice Conference (BIRC) 2025.

The world’s largest rice conference is scheduled to be held on October 30th & 31st, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. This landmark event is poised to be the largest gathering of the global rice export ecosystem ever.

The event will convene over 5,000 farmers, 2,500 exporters and millers, 50 shipping lines, 1,000 international buyers from more than 80 countries, as well as representatives from diplomatic missions and trade delegations. The conference will also feature participation from senior Ministers of various foreign governments, creating a historic convergence of key stakeholders in the rice industry.

The collaboration underscores the government’s support and its commitment to actively collaborating with IREF in promoting India’s rice sector on the global stage. Dr Prem Garg, National President of the Indian Rice Exporters Federation (IREF) and Chairman of Shri Lal Mahal Group, welcomed this collaboration.

According to an official statement, the Department of Food and Public Distribution has confirmed its support for three key initiatives related to the conference. The global rice summit will serve as a dynamic platform to unite all stakeholders, fostering collaboration, innovation, and trade opportunities.

The event aims to provide visitors and exhibitors with direct access to global buyers, new markets, and the latest technological innovations in the agricultural sector. Visitors and participants will also get one-to-one networking opportunities, which will further strengthen international supply chains and help them explore new business opportunities. (ANI)
