WUD announces admissions for industry-oriented MBA program in Design Strategy and Management

New Delhi [India], Oct 31 (NewsVoir): Tapping the huge potential of Design as a career option cutting across sectors, World University of Design (WUD), a UGC recognized university and India's first and only University dedicated to education in the creative domain has announced admissions to a specialized industry oriented two year MBA Degree program in Design Strategy and Management.
Admissions are open for the academic year 2019. The unique curriculum encouraging creativity and innovation also offers an Executive Degree pathway for working professionals.
"Design can be found at the crux of almost every industry today as increasingly businesses are realizing that a well-designed product and service is integral to their success. Building an Innovation capacity has become a survival tool for every organization. A trained Design Manager acts as a bridge between the creative and business side of a company. It is via the power of Design thinking and Innovative methodologies that the Design Manager is able to build in an Innovation Capacity amongst the people in the organization," said Vice Chancellor, Dr. Sanjay Gupta.
Our newly introduced MBA course in Design Strategy and Management will offer a unique synergy of Design Education as applied to business. A good understanding of design and its application will offer a significant advantage to managers across industries.
At WUD we provide access to excellent facilities and traditional workshops which are supported by an advanced range of technology for students to have firsthand experience.
According to The Future of Design Education in India Report by 2020, the potential market for design in India is expected to be Rs. 188.32 billion (GBP 1.43 billion). The number of designers required by 2020 across design domains will be over 60,000 annually, provided the design potential is fully realized. Design management graduates have therefore multiple avenues available to them from product development or brand strategy involving advertising, marketing and other brand building areas of operations.
Depending on their educational background, an MBA Graduate in Design Strategy and Management can also work in varied areas like product development, packaging, operations or research and development across nearly all industries.
The University has International Collaborations with foreign Universities like University of Huddersfield, Oxford Brookes University & University of the West of Scotland, UK; Emily Carr University of Art & Design & Vancouver Film School, Canada; École Nationale Superieure des Arts et Industries Textiles (ENSAIT), France.
