Venture Garage, Kotak Mahindra Bank conduct 10XWE Summit

New Delhi [India], Jan 29 (NewsVoir): She is intelligent, she is independent, she is bold. Today, the women of our country have come a long way from being a housewife, to becoming a source of income for her home, to heading business giants & now to building the unicorns of tomorrow.
She is not new to leadership. Think of Indra Nooyi, or Chanda Kochhar, or Indira Gandhi, or Mother Teresa. She has lead from the front in building many success stories around politics, business, reforms and many other walks of life.
While many women have set examples in leadership they are still underrepresented in entrepreneurship, leaving much room for women to capture the space. 10X Women Entrepreneurship, is an exciting, innovative event by Venture Garage, in association with Kotak Mahindra Bank, because, “even she needs a push”. About 150 Women Entrepreneurs, Business Leaders, Influencers, Bloggers & Investors came together to push her to become more enterprising.
Shazia Ilmi TN news anchor turned politician commented, “Sometimes you do well because your family supports you, but sometimes they do not, then you need to create that support for yourself.” “I want to be a image of self expression,” said Shazia Ilmi.
Another highlight of the event included a session by Dr. Shikha Sharma Founder ‘Nutriwel health India’; quoting her “Women need to celebrate themselves, things they have given to the society, and healthy is good looking."
Prajakta Kohli, Leading Youtuber @mostlysane said, “My learning from my experience is that we have put unnecessary barriers in our head that are not at all required.” Vineet Managing partner at Venture garage was specifically wowed to see the following Prajakta had created on social media and the interest she created in the audience with her anecdotes.
Lovely Kumar, Founder of women lead an initiative to encourage women leadership said, “In order to bring out the best in ourselves, we should engage with mentors and coach who will help provide a sounding board and an insightful outside-in view.”
The Torchbearers panel: The Dream, The Struggle, & The Prize which had leading women founders of startups; Tripti Singal, Chairperson COWE, Suchita Salwan Little Black Book, Rashi Narang Headsupfortails, Sakshi Tulsian Posist, and Rebekkah Kumar Fourseven.
Panel 2 was titled Leading from the front; Challenges & Overcoming them. Key speakers included Vani Gupta Dandia ex-CMO Pepsi, Dr. Abha Malik, Aushealth Global, Shabnam Singhal Sirius D&E, Dr. Jai Madan, Astrologer and Vastu consultant, Ms.Bharti Malhotra Kotak and Harmeet Bajaj Impresario.
The investor panel included Shilpa Sehgal Equanimity Investments, Shweta Singh SRI capital, Swapna Gupta Qualcomm Ventures, Riya Aggarwal BLS accelerator, Ayesha Ghoshal GEMS partners, Aashima Johur Spice route legal.
