IFRF Haryana working to ensure zero malnutrition amongst children in the city

New Delhi [India], Dec 21 (ANI-NewsVoir): Malnutrition amongst children in India translates into an increased risk of dying from common infections, stunted growth due to lack of adequate nutrition, and an overall increase in the mortality rate of children in the country.

ISKCON Food Relief Foundation Haryana recognizes the threat that malnutrition amongst children poses to the growth of the country. It addresses the issue by serving more than 2.5 lakh meals every single day in more than 2,500 schools through its state-of-the-art kitchens across the four districts of Haryana.

These meals are free-of-charge and prepared with the highest standards of hygiene and quality ingredients that meet the nutritional requirements of growing children as laid by the Supreme Court of India.

These healthy meals are provided under Mid-Day Meal scheme in partnership with the Government of Haryana to ensure zero malnutrition among less-privileged school children (government primary and upper primary schools) in Haryana.

IFRF Haryana believes that children are the prospective leaders that become an effective participant in the growth of the country and hence it is important to collectively work towards eliminating malnutrition and illiteracy to ensure a better and brighter future. The Foundation's works on the underlying principle to serve them this pure food prepared in divine consciousness so that the moral values are inculcated in these school children and they love and care every living entity.
