Aditya Roy Kapur inaugurates SRM University's Decade Edition of Milan'17
New Delhi [India], Mar 9 (ANI-NewsVoir): Chennai's biggest college fest is back again, this time with an even bigger bang than before. Milan'17, SRM University's flagship fest, is a National level Sports and Cultural fest which hosts colleges from around the country. This year, the fest will kick off with Aditya Roy Kapur lighting the lamp. This actor has stunned fans with his movies before and his latest release "OK Jaanu" won many hearts across the country. This being said, he's just the first in major celebrity in the line-up. The inauguration ceremony is followed by Musical Night which hosts performances from Palak and Palash Muchhal as well as Anushka Manchanda. Palak and Palash, the sibling duo, have made a name for themselves with hits from A-list movies like "Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo" and "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story". They are also known for their philanthropic work, performing stage shows across India and abroad to raise funds for poor children in need of financial assistance. The second act of the evening, Anushka Manchanda, has been in the industry for over a decade and doesn't seem to be slowing down. This Delhi girl has been nominated for countless awards for her songs in Hindi as well as Tamil. Chennai's weather will be getting just a little bit hotter once she steps on stage. The musical night starts 7 p.m. onwards. Day 2 brings the much awaited "Vogue Way" which will leave the ramp on fire and the audience thirsty for more. These young models and designers are not to be taken lightly as they really know what they're doing. They aspire to walk amongst the best and their attitude makes it all evident. The third day holds the biggest concert in the city, when Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani perform live. This superstar duo doesn't need an introduction, they just let their music do the talking. These multilingual artistes have taken the industry by storm with their back to back hits. Their most recent chart topping hits include songs from "Befikre" and "Sultan". The concert starts at 8 p.m. on the 10th of March. Day 4 brings Choreonite, which is a dance competition. Though the participants will be the ones on stage performing, it'll be really hard to not groove amidst all the thumping beats and tapping feet. It also brings Broadway, which showcases upcoming actors. This drama competition showcases various acts prepared by students that are sure to leave the audience entranced. And finally, the last day brings us East India Comedy, a comedy group that has transformed the way we view stand-up comedy. Sahil Shah and Saurabh Pant give their take on the issues that we deal with in our day to day life and it's bound to leave your stomachs turning with laughter. Milan is a fest filled with fun, laughter and new experiences and it weds all the cultural and sports events beautifully in an event that is organized the students. (ANI-NewsVoir)
