New Delhi [India], Oct 4 (ANI): The International Film Festival of India continues to grow both as a major festival for independent films and international productions as well as establishing a strong film market tie-in with many international buyers and sellers. The 47th edition of International Film Festival of India will woo the audience with the plethora of movies from across the globe. The delegate registrations for the film festival have begun. The nine day film extravaganza will begin from November 20th and conclude on November 28th, 2016. The 46th International Film Festival of India had marked its galore of success by entertaining the audience with movies of various genres, including several Official Academy Award entries and presence of Masters of cinema like Shekar Kapoor, Nikita Mikhalkov, Michael Radford, Amos Gitai, Kaushik Ganguly, Julia Jentsch, AR Rahmanand Milt Shefter. The 47th edition promises to be even bigger and better with the selection of films to be made from more than 1000 entries received from across the globe. The Indian Panorama films will showcase creativity of Indian Directors which will for the first time be selected from the received entries of both censored and un-censored films as per the new guidelines for this year's IFFI. The Festival is proud to introduce the Centenary Award for the Best Debut Feature to recognize upcoming film makers from all over the world, to the pre-existing award categories, which includes Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Male), Best Actor (Female), Lifetime Achievement Award, Centenary Award for Indian Film Personality of the Year and Special Jury Award. The best chance to re-invent film making for students and film enthusiasts is here - with interactive sessions and informative classes from global masters of the art in Direction, Documentary film making, Editing, Art Direction, Cinematography, VFX and Animation and Action Direction. IFFI 2016 also brings to you workshops from stalwarts in World Cinema who will engulf you in learning Celebrity Photography and Publicity Management. Sales and Distribution companies from around the world will be gracing the festival, adding to the promotion and marketing of meaningful cultural exchange in the Business of Cinema. A special section of films will be showcased as a Celebration of Masters in the art of Film making. (ANI)
