A look at PM Modi's Republic Day turban tradition
Narendra Modi's turban play has been a talking point every year and today, as the nation celebrates its 75th Republic Day, the Prime Minister opted for a multi-coloured turban with yellow colour, considered the colour of Lord Ram. Along with the beautiful Rajasthani Bandhini print turban, the PM kept his outfit white kurta and pyjama with a brown Nehru jacket. The entire look perfectly conveyed his love for the nation. For the 70th Republic Day, Modi wore a yellow headgear with a red tail. The turban also had a dash of green and subtle golden lines on it. He completed his look with a sleeveless bandhgala jacket and a white kurta.

This time, Modi dropped the idea of donning a turban and chose to wear a unique traditional cap of Uttarakhand. The cap was embellished with a Brahmakamal-inspired brooch. Brahmakamal is the state flower of Uttarakhand that PM uses whenever he visits Kedarnath for pooja.
